A new tag, and a newsletter on the way
It's been a few months since SiteSee came back. Here's where things stand.
The gallery has a new tag: game. Playful, interactive, and experimental sites were landing under "informational," which is our catch-all and was never a good fit for them. They have a proper home now, and you can filter for them directly in the gallery. That brings the tag list to eleven.
On quality: nothing lands in the gallery automatically. Candidates surface every day from around the web, but every single one is reviewed by hand before it goes live, and most don't make it. We'd rather show you fewer sites than pad the gallery with filler. The automated monitors we mentioned at relaunch are still running daily, watching for entries that go offline or get redesigned into something that no longer belongs.
We've also been working on posting more consistently. The old rhythm was lumpy, with a batch of sites appearing at once and then a quiet stretch. We're relying more on scheduling to keep the gallery fresh and engaging.
Last thing: the newsletter is built and nearly ready. It'll be a short, regular roundup of what's been added, with no noise and nothing else in it. If you'd like it in your inbox when it starts, sign up and you'll be on the list from the first issue.
